Julie Owens has developed anti-domestic violence programs including an ER crisis team, advocate certification courses, and a transitional shelter. She directed trauma therapy research projects at the National Center for PTSD, and for nine years oversaw numerous victim service agencies for the state of N.C. Julie consults and trains on issues such as violence against women, trauma, human trafficking, and survivor-centered advocacy for numerous entities including governments, non-profits, law enforcement agencies, corporations, and religious organizations.
